When it comes to Amazon shows, there is one dramedy that stands out for its award wins. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is outstanding, but is it renewed? Will we get a fourth season?
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is one of those shows that has grown considerably from what it first started as. And that’s just with three seasons! The development for every single character in the series has been exquisite.
It started out as a series about a married housewife in the 1950s whose husband leaves her for his secretary. Yes, it’s the most cliche thing that happens, but it kick starts a huge journey for Midge Maisel. She realizes a skill and a passion that she didn’t think she had and goes on a journey to become a stand-up comic.
That’s difficult in itself, but this is the 1950s. Women as comedians? That’s not really something many consider the done thing.
However, Midge has Susie, her manager, by her side. And throughout the series, we watch Susie figure out what she really wants to do with her life, as well as the growth of Midge’s parents, ex-husband, and more.
Has The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel been renewed?
The good news is Amazon has renewed The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel for a fourth season. The renewal came in shortly after the third season dropped on the streaming service, allowing us to breathe a sigh of relief. After all, there were a lot of questions at the end of Season 3!
Is there going to be a Season 4 of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel?
Of course, while Amazon has renewed the series, that doesn’t necessarily mean the season is going to happen, right? Netflix renewed The Society and then canceled it. ABC renewed Stumptown and then canceled it. TV shows became victims of the pandemic.
The good news is that isn’t the case with any Amazon show. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 4 is still happening. In fact, filming is going on right now.
Will it be the last? Probably not. However, we may be getting close to the end, and the pandemic may have a lot to blame for that.
When does the new season of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel start?
It’s hard to say when the new season will be released on Amazon. With filming already happening, it is possible that we’ll get the season toward the end of 2021 or maybe early 2022. We’re hoping for a December start like previous seasons.
