Jensen Ackles is getting ready to suit up for The Boys Season 3
Are you ready for The Boys Season 3? Okay, so the series isn’t quite ready for release, but there’s great news for Jensen Ackles fans.
The Supernatural actor is getting ready to suit up. Ackles posted a photo on Instagram showing off his new hair and beard. It looks like Hiatus Beard went on for a little while longer…maybe it’s Quarantine Beard?
If you don’t know, Canada has a strict policy when coming into the country. Everyone has to quarantine for 14 days unless you’re under one of the exception rules, which actors are not. We knew Ackles had entered the country last month, but he’s only just getting on set for The Boys Season 3, where he will play Soldier Boy.
Sure, Soldier Boy is a Supe and that means he’s going to be one of the villains, but it doesn’t stop us getting excited about seeing Ackles on our screens again—and in a “superhero” role.
The beard and hair may be part of The Boys Season 3
Soldier Boy is going to be slightly different to the character in the comics. In the graphic novel series, Soldier Boy is a little like Captain America in the sense that the title can pass on to future Supes. In The Boys Season 3, that’s not going to be the case. Ackles is the original Soldier Boy, and it sounds like he’s taking Stormfront’s place.
The beard and the hair is likely for the role itself. Yes, Supernatural fans know all about Hiatus Beard, but this is much thicker and longer than ever before.
Where is Soldier Boy coming from at the start of the season? Are they potentially pulling him out of some prison cell where he hasn’t been able to shave and get a haircut for a while? Supe quarantine?
