Amazon Video: What’s heading to Digital this week? [May 11, 2021]
It’s been relatively quiet when it comes to Digital releases at the moment. Four movies are heading to Amazon Video this week, May 11, 2021.
While there haven’t been many movies head to Amazon Video in May, the movies that have made their way to the platform have been big ones. The month started off with the release of Minari, The Father, and The Little Things on Digital.
This week isn’t going to see some of the bigger releases, but it’s still a week to pay attention to. There is something for all interests when it comes to genres.
The first is Long Weekend, starring Finn Wittrock and Zoe Chao, which is an excellent pick for rom-com fans. Wittrock is Bart, a struggling writer who can’t seem to get anything right. He’s about to lose his apartment because he struggles for money, but a friend offers him a job at the last minute. It’s then that he meets a quirky woman who may bring love to his turbulent existence.
Other movies on Amazon Video this week
There are three other movies heading to Digital this week. Another rom-com is Together Together, starring Ed Helms and Patti Harrison. Matt wants to be a father, but he doesn’t have a wife or even a girlfriend. He won’t let that stop him and he goes on a journey to find someone to be his surrogate.
He hires Anna to be the surrogate of his child, which starts up a platonic friendship. Of course, that leads to a potential romantic relationship.
For those who need action and drama, My Brother’s Keeper is coming to Amazon Video this week. It follows Travis, a man who comes back from serving with the military with PTSD. At the same time, he has a crisis of faith. Can he overcome his demons?
Finally, there’s the dramedy French Exit, starring Michelle Pfeiffer and Lucas Hedges. Pfeiffer is a wealthy socialite in New York living on the inheritance of her deceased husband. When her money starts to run out, she decides to sell everything and move to Paris to be with her son.
It’s not quite a fairytale. It’s time for the elite to realize just what it means to live within their means.
