What’s streaming on Amazon this week: May 3–7, 2021

We started May with a bang, but will that continue? It’s time to look at what’s streaming on Amazon during the first full week of May 2021.

While the majority of the May content arrived over the weekend, there is still something to watch this week. There’s one new Amazon Original and there are a few other movies dropping throughout the week.

We also have Amazon’s free streaming service, IMDb TV, to help us find content to watch. Of course, there are still the movies and TV shows from the weekend that will offer something extra during the week because there’s no way you got through everything!

So, what is streaming on Amazon this week? Here’s a look at all four titles from May 3–7, 2021.

The Boy From Medellín, Skyfall, and more

The first release of the week is on IMDb TV. The Lady in the Van arrives on Tuesday, May 4. Maggie Smith stars in this heartfelt comedy about Miss Shepherd, an elderly woman who lives in her van. When she meets Alan Bennett, he doesn’t like her, but things start to change as he gets to know her. The movie is based on a true story and one of those hidden gems worth checking out.

Over on Amazon Prime Video, Skyfall is the first movie to drop on Wednesday, May 5. The James Bond movie is all about M, as her past comes back to haunt her. 007 does everything he can to protect her, but will it be enough?

The Boy From Medellín is the Amazon Original for the week, dropping on Friday, May 7. It follows J. Balvin as he prepares for the most important concert of his entire career. He’s heading back home to a sold-out stadium show, and the documentary looks at the journey to that concert, including the stress, anxiety, and depression involved.
