Almost 50 titles are joining Amazon Prime Video today
Not only is it a new weekend, but it’s also a new month. We get the big first-of-the-month drop, and there are 49 movies heading to Amazon Prime Video today.
There are 60 titles in total arriving on Amazon Prime Video in May 2021. That means the bulk of them are arriving this weekend. Well, today, in fact.
Everything coming to Amazon tonight is movies, and there really is something for everyone. If you’re into sci-fi and fantasy, there are two franchises you’ll want to check out. Some of the Alien movies and the first two Resident Evil movies have dropped today. They really need no introduction, right?
What else could you want? Okay, there’s something for the mystery/thriller fans and something for families. Let’s take a look.
Nanny McPhee, The Da Vinci Code, and more
For those looking for something for the whole family, there’s some great news. Both Nanny McPhee movies are on Amazon Prime Video from today.
The movies are a little like Mary Poppins, in the sense that a nanny mysteriously appears just as a parent/guardian needs her. She isn’t the best looking woman around, but that’s all about to change. As the children get better, she starts to lose her warts and starts to look beautiful. It’s the sign that her time is done.
The sequel is set a few decades after the first one, with Maggie Smith playing an Easter egg character.
If you like thrillers and love Dan Brown’s books, The Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons are both on Amazon Prime Video today. They follow Robert Langdon as he solves historical clues to solve murders despite being a professor and not a cop!
The Sixth Sense and Unbreakable are also on Amazon today. You’ve seen them before and know all the twists, but there’s no doubt that you want to watch them again!
