With the Snowpiercer movie among the May releases on IMDb TV, you may want to catch up with the series. Is Snowpiercer on Amazon Prime Video?

There is a little bit of bad news to start this. You can’t watch Snowpiercer the TV series on Amazon Prime Video for free.

The series is a WarnerMedia production, which means the episodes head to the WarnerMedia streaming service HBO Max. This isn’t all that surprising.

The first season is currently available on HBO Max. It’s not clear when the second season will arrive, but it will head there. A third season is already in the works, but no premiere date has been offered just yet.

You can’t get HBO Max via Amazon Channels. However, it is possible to get HBO Max through your Fire TV, and you can use your HBO login details, even if you got HBO through Amazon Channels. It’s an odd set-up if we’re honest.

If you don’t want another streaming service, you’ll want to consider buying the episodes on Digital. In the long-run, this is a cheaper option.

Both seasons are available to buy on Amazon Video. You can get the episodes individually at $2.99 or you can buy the seasons in full for $22.99 each.

Eventually, the second season will head to DVD and Blu-ray. Only the first season is available in that format so far. The length of time it takes for Warner Bros. to send shows to DVD depends on the deals made with networks and streaming platforms. We’ll be keeping an eye out for the release date.

It’s certainly worth getting. While there is a TV crime drama element to it just to get our lead Tailie, Layton, out of the back of the train, the show becomes much more than that.
