After a quiet week of DVD and Blu-ray releases last week, things are picking up a little on April 20, 2021. Here’s a look at the movies arriving.

Things are still on the quiet side. Admittedly, there are no big blockbuster movies coming to DVD and Blu-ray this week. The pandemic has led to the major movies being pushed to the end of the year or into 2022, which is affecting what’s available to buy on DVD and Blu-ray.

That doesn’t mean there’s nothing to buy, though. There are a few movies that could stick out, whether it’s due to the cast or just the genre of the film.

It’s time to look at the five movies that are getting a DVD release this week.

Crisis, The Violent Heart, and more

Crisis is the first on the list. It stars Gary Oldman, Armie Hammer, and Evangeline Lilly in a movie all about a former OxyContin addict who finds out her son is involved with illegal narcotics in some way.

Meanwhile, a professor deals with unexpected problems as he researches a painkiller that is supposed to be non-addictive. Can anyone stop the drug epidemic?

If you’re into a romance thriller, The Violent Heart is something to check out. Grace Van Patten and Jovan Adepo star in this movie about a man who struggles to move past the murder of his sister. It affects everything about him, threatening his entire family.

When he’s suddenly swept into a love affair, truths start to come up to the surface. Can he ever leave the past behind him?

Want something for the children? Space Dogs: Tropical Adventure is something to watch. A whirlpool appears in the Atlantic Ocean, leading to Belka and Strelka to investigate once they get back from Saturn. The bottom of the whirlpool has aliens who are stealing water from the Earth.

Can the two save the planet? What about the aliens, though? Is there a way to save their planet?
