Each season went to Amazon Prime Video shortly after airing on History. It made it very easy for everyone to rewatch when they wanted.

Will Vikings: Valhalla come to Amazon Prime Video?

The Vikings spin-off is set 100 years after the events in the main series. It follows a new set of characters, although there will be the odd familiar face here and there. Lief Erikson is the main character, following a group of Vikings as the Norman Conquest takes place.

Will it head to Amazon Prime Video? It would have made sense, wouldn’t it? Instead, it’s heading over to Netflix. There’s no word on when Vikings: Valhalla will arrive.

The series started filming in October 2020 but was postponed due to positive COVID tests. There is a chance that filming and post-production will be finished in time for a late 2021 release, but it’s probably safer expecting it to arrive in 2022.
