Ancient Aliens Season 13 among DVD releases this week: April 13, 2021

It’s a new week, which means there are more DVD releases happening. Not much is coming to DVD and Blu-ray on April 13, 2021.

When I say not much, I mean it. There are only two DVD releases happening this week!

Yes, just the two. One of those is Ancient Aliens Season 13.

Giorgio Tsoukalos, who just recently had a guest-star stint on Resident Alien, kicks off the season with Nan Madol, which 250 million tons of volcanic rock created. There’s also a look at a Roswell relic.

What else is coming to DVD this week?

If you’re not interested in a TV show or just that particular TV show, you’ll want to know the other DVD release happening this week. Willy’s Wonderland is the name of the movie coming to DVD.

The horror-comedy stars Nicolas Cage and Emily Tosta, where a man’s job at a defunct amusement park becomes a nightmare. And it’s not all about an abusive boss. The amusement park is possessed and seems to be turning against him.

Why are there so few DVD releases?

The drop in DVD releases is all linked to the pandemic. There just weren’t enough movies out at the start of this year to help bring plenty of big movie releases on DVD and Blu-ray.

This can be a quiet year for TV show releases, but there’s usually something from one of the premium cable services. That doesn’t seem the case right now. Again, the pandemic has affected the releases of the TV shows on the networks, which delays the DVD dates.

Things are going to be quiet throughout April. May is shaping up to be a better month with the likes of Minari, Supernatural Season 15, and The Nest.
