The Boys spin-off adds Shane Paul McGhie and more as lead cast members

The Boys spin-off is continually adding more to its lead cast. Shane Paul McGhie is among the recent list of cast members joining the series. The show is also closer to getting the formal green light.

Casting for the series is ramping up. It was only during the middle of March that the first cast member was added to the series. Lizzie Broadway joined the series as Emma, one of the Supes at America’s only college for young superheroes.

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina‘s Jaz Sinclair was the next to join the series at around the same time. She’ll play a young Supe named Marie. That’s all we get to know for now.

Deadline has now reported that three more cast members are joining The Boys spin-off in lead roles. Deputy‘s Shane Paul McGhie, Elena of Avalor‘s Aimee Carrero, and Teenage Bounty Hunter‘s Maddie Phillips are joining the series.

Who will the new cast members play on The Boys spin-off?

No details about their characters have been released just yet. This time, we don’t even get any character names.

This isn’t that surprising. There isn’t much news to give away, especially since the show doesn’t yet have the formal green light from Amazon. However, considering the success of the main series, it’s hard to imagine that Amazon won’t officially pick up the show to series.

While the original series was loosely based on the comics by Garth Ennis and Craig Rosenberg, The Boys spin-off is its own entity. It’s not clear if any of the original characters will show up at some point and where in the timeline the spin-off will take place.
