It may be close to the end of the month, but there are still some great shows and movies on Amazon Prime Video and Amazon Channels to watch. It’s time to cut out the overwhelm with these five top picks.

The aim is to make sure there is something for everyone. If you only like to pay attention to the Amazon Prime Video options, there is one show that is on this list. It’s probably the show you’ve waited all month long for.

It is worth noting that there’s a second Amazon Original dropping this week. La Templanza (The Vineyard) arrives on Friday, March 26. It’s based on the novel of the same name by María Dueñas.

For those who have various Amazon Channels, there are a few treats. Whether you like TV crime dramas, true-crime docuseries, or foreign-language dramas, there is something for you.

It’s time to look at the top picks of the week.

5 TV shows and movies on Amazon worth watching from March 22 to 28

Invincible

We start with one of the most anticipated Amazon shows arriving in 2021. Invincible is an adult animation series with Steven Yuen voicing the lead character, a 17-year-old boy who is anything but normal.

He’s just trying to survive being a teenager when he finally comes into his powers. It should be a great time to bond with his superhero dad, right? Instead, he constantly worries about the shadow he’s in. Can he figure out what type of hero he wants to be?

Watch on Friday, March 26.

No Strings Attached

For the rom-com fans out there, IMDb TV is the place to turn for the next suggestion. Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher star as Emma and Adam in No Strings Attached. The 2011 movie is just as cheesy as it sounds like it should be with the two leads.

Adam just gets out of a breakup and wants to have a bit of fun. When he runs into Emma, they decide to start a fun relationship with no strings attached. Of course, they both start to fall in love.

Watch on Tuesday, March 23.

Secrets of a Psychopath

For those who prefer true-crime series, Secrets of a Psychopath is something you need to check out. The story looks at first-hand accounts from experts, journalists, and observers close to one of the most shocking crimes in Irish history.

It looks at the murder of Elaine O’Hara, a 36-year-old woman whose death was almost classed as suicide. Her murderer, Graham Dwyer, nearly got away with it. What was it that tipped everyone off to murder? That’s something the series will look into.

Check it out on Tuesday, March 23 on Sundance Now.

New Tricks

If you like TV crime dramas but not true crime, BritBox has you covered. Seasons 7 to 12 of New Tricks are coming to the streaming service. The first set of seasons are already among the shows and movies on Amazon to watch.

The series follows three retired detectives who agree to join a team to re-examine unsolved crimes. They have to work under Sandra Pullman, a detective in disgrace. While things start off iffy, by the last few seasons, they are all in their stride and are a family. You’ll want to see how it all came to an end.

New Tricks is available on Tuesday, March 23 on BritBox.

The Attaché

If you’re interested in foreign-language shows, you’ll need to turn your attention to The Attaché. The series follows a Jewish musician who wants to spend a romantic year in Paris with his wife. He gets a job as an attaché for the Israeli embassy.

That romantic year turns into a nightmare. When there’s a terrorist attack, he has to do whatever he can to protect himself and his wife.

All 10 episodes are available to stream on Monday, March 22 on Acorn TV.
