Time has been nominated for an Oscar in 2021 for Best Documentary Feature. Want to see what the fuss is about? Can you watch Time on Amazon Prime Video?

The best thing about the Oscar nominations is getting a list of movies to watch. Some of the movies are those that were initially overlooked upon the release, and this documentary certainly feels like one of those movies.

It’s hard for all movies to get the promotional attention they deserve. It all comes down to the promotional budget available. However, now you know it exists as it’s been nominated for Best Documentary Feature at the 2021 Academy Awards. You need to watch it right now.

Where is the movie available? Is Time on Amazon Prime Video? You’re in for some good news.

Time is an Amazon Original Documentary

The 2020 documentary is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video right now. This is where it’s going to stay. It’s an Amazon Original Movie, which means there is absolutely no need for it to head to any other streaming service.

It is unlikely to come to DVD and Blu-ray. Not all Amazon originals do, especially when it comes to documentaries and docseries.

What is the movie about?

Produced and directed by Garrett Bradley, the documentary tells the story of Sibil Fox Richardson. She fought hard to get her husband, Rob, out of prison, where he was serving a 16-year sentence.

It’s not that he didn’t deserve the prison time, but that he didn’t deserve the amount of time he was in prison for. The sentence didn’t fit the crime. Both Fox and Rob were arrested for bank robbery, and Fox got three-and-a-half years, which she served. Yet, her husband got 16 years.

The film uses home videos around the story of Fox’s fight for justice. It is a powerful documentary that you need to take the time to watch.
