When a new series based on a book is announced, it’s not surprising to see the book become popular. That’s what happened on the most sold Amazon books list last week.

The Underground Railroad by Colson Whitehead was the highest new addition to the list last week. It coincides with Amazon Prime Video dropping the teaser trailer and release date for the show based on the novel.

Naturally, viewers want to know what they’re getting themselves into. We know what The Underground Railroad really was, but that’s not something the show is going to cover. Instead, it’s covering the story told in Whitehead’s book.

There were three other new additions to the list. Call Me Crazy by Melanie Harlow joined the list in eighth place. Magical Midlife Love by K.F. Breene joined the list in 14th place. Meanwhile, How to Catch a Leprechaun by Adam Wallace joined in 16th place. The latter isn’t surprising as we get closer to St. Patrick’s Day.

Big movers on the list of most sold books on Amazon

The biggest mover was Relentless by Mark Greaney. After debuting well on the list during the previous week, the novel lost 14 places. It just clings onto the list.

A Court of Silver Flames by Sarah J. Maas is another notable mover, losing five places and dropping out of the Top 5. In fact, it’s worth noting that A Court of Thorns and Roses was completely knocked out of the list last week.

There is a notable reentry, taking over the top spot on the list of most sold Amazon books. The Boy, the Mole, the Fox, and the Horse by Charlie Mackesy rejoined the list after dropping off for a bit.
