When will Raya and the Last Dragon come to DVD and Blu-ray?

Raya and the Last Dragon is now available on Disney Plus with Premier Access. Prefer to own Disney movies on DVD and Blu-ray? How long will the wait be for this one?

There is no way Raya and the Last Dragon won’t get a DVD release. Disney gains financially from these releases, and movies like Mulan and Onward have come to DVD despite unusual releases to counter the pandemic. The question now is just how long you’ll have to wait.

With the movie only just available on Disney Plus with Premier Access, there is no DVD release date set. We can look at Mulan, which got the same type of Premier Access release and then eventually came to DVD and Blu-ray.

Mulan came to Digital just a month after the Premier Access release. It then came to DVD and Blu-ray a month after that, so a little more than two months after the Premier Access release.

When to expect Raya and the Last Dragon on DVD and Blu-ray

If Disney follows the same pattern, we’re looking at the Digital copy of the movie to be available to buy and rent at the start of April. It could be as early as April 2 or April 9.

We’re waiting a couple of months for the DVD release. Raya and the Last Dragon could be on DVD and Blu-ray on May 7 or May 14.

These are just rough dates based on the Mulan release.

A release on DVD before being available to all usual Disney Plus subscribers makes sense. The Premier Access is like the movie theaters, and the DVD release is always before a movie is available for free on a streaming platform.
