The Terminal List: Constance Wu makes return to series TV with Amazon show

It’s time for Constance Wu to head back to series TV. She’s joining Chris Pratt’s The Terminal List, which will come to Amazon Prime Video.

Deadline shared the news about the Fresh Off the Boat star landing the female lead opposite Pratt. The Guardians of the Galaxy actor is also executive producer on the series, along with director Antoine Fuqua and writer David DiGilio.

The series is based on the book of the same name by Jack Carr, and Carr will also serve as an executive producer on the series. It follows James Reece, who is ambushed with the rest of his team during a covert mission. While Reece does make it back home, he learns that he and his family aren’t out of the woods yet. Danger lurks behind every corner.

Pratt will take on the role of Reece, with the series arriving on Amazon Prime Video on a yet-to-be-determined date.

Who will Constance Wu play on The Terminal List?

Wu is Katie Buranek. She’s a war correspondent who doesn’t mind the risks involved. All she wants is to speak the truth, and she will use her byline to do that.

However, she does it all on her own terms after leading a prestigious news outlet. She ends up finding an unlikely ally in Reece at a crossroads in her career and realizes that it may be the way back into mainstream media. All she wants is to help Reece bring the truth of the conspiracy around him to light.

This is the first TV since Fresh Off the Boat ended after six seasons in 2020. She’s not the first actress to join The Terminal List, with Taylor Kitsch also involved in the series.

The Terminal List will come to Amazon Prime Video, but a date is still to be determined.
