DVD and Blu-ray releases: Des

Interested in true-crime? Love to see David Tennant take on lots of other roles outside of Doctor Who? You’ll want to check out Des.

The Sundance Now series follows a slightly fictionalized telling of the Scottish serial killer Dennis “Des” Nilsen. In 1983, the world learned about his actions when the drains became too clogged with body parts. This man seemed so out of the ordinary that nobody expected to find what they did.

It turned out that Des had lured and killed 16 young men around London’s Soho. Naturally, the police want to know why he chose to kill and mutilate his victims. Would they ever get to the bottom of it?

Des is on DVD and Blu-ray on March 16.

DVD and Blu-ray releases: Castlevania Season 3

It’s not often a Netflix series heads to DVD and Blu-ray. Castlevania is one of those shows that fans do get to look forward to. It’s only the series without bonus features, but it means not having to keep the Netflix subscription going all the time just to watch it.

Richard Armitage, James Callis, and Alejandra Reynoso are among the actors providing voices for the characters. The third season picks up with Alucard adjusting to his new but lonely life, while Carmilla heads back home with a prize.

This is the season that covers life now that Dracula is dead. Night creatures are now attacking the humans hiding out in villages, and the vampires are ready to wipe out the human race forever. Can anyone save them?

Get the season on DVD and Blu-ray on March 23.
