DVD and Blu-ray releases: Pinocchio

A fan of Pinocchio? Whether you’re a fan of the original story or of the Disney version that was created, you’ll want to check out the latest live-action movie.

It is certainly a dark story. It can seem much darker than the animated movie, but that’s partly because it’s live-action. However, it’s not a version to be missed.

The story is the one you’ve come to know and love. Geppetto makes his puppet, which does become human. However, he doesn’t have Jiminy Cricket by his side to be his conscience. Pinocchio will need to figure out how the world works alone.

You can already own Pinocchio on DVD and Blu-ray.

DVD and Blu-ray releases: All My Life

For those who prefer romance, Jessica Rothe and Harry Shum Jr. star in the one that you need to get this month. All My Life is certainly a bittersweet tale, but it is also one of hope and of laughter. It is one of love, based on a true story.

A young couple is planning their wedding, only to find out that they may not make it to their big day. When Sol is diagnosed with liver cancer, it looks like their future together is over. In fact, Sol thinks it should be.

Jennifer isn’t going to let that happen. She makes it clear that she’s in it to the end, and they will get their wedding come hell or high water. There’s a heartwarming story of perseverance and love in the face of adversity, something I think we all need right now.
