News of the World is one of the DVD and Blu-ray releases to look forward to in March 2021

While there hasn’t been a lot of movies come to theaters recently, there’s been enough to look forward to the DVD and Blu-ray releases in March 2021.

We’re at the point where the movies in December will come to DVD and Blu-ray. There may be a few delayed from earlier in the year depending on release schedules and physical production delays, but it’s mostly all about the December 2020 movies in March.

Of course, there are also some TV shows to look forward to. Some of these releases are Netflix shows, and these types of releases don’t happen often. Then there is a popular HBO limited series, an AMC show, and much more.

DVD and Blu-ray releases: News of the World

We start with the release of News of the World. Tom Hanks stars as a former Civil War soldier who is now tasked with getting a young girl from the Native tribe that kidnapped her to take her back to her uncle and aunt.

However, this young girl doesn’t want to leave. The tribe is the only family she’s ever known. The vet is going to do what he’s been hired to do. Sort of.

He soon realizes that taking her back to her aunt and uncle isn’t an option. Now he needs to figure out what to do while the two trek across a most dangerous land.

DVD and Blu-ray releases: A Perfect Planet

When you want a docuseries created, there is just one nature historian to turn to. Sir David Attenborough has brought us so many excellent nature docuseries in the past, most of them with the BBC. Now it’s time for another.

A Perfect Planet is a five-part documentary series that focuses on environmental issues and the wildlife affected by them. At the same time, it looks at how both of these affect the people on the planet all over the world.

It’s a stunning masterpiece as usual. Attenborough’s commentary is educational and soothing at the same time. However, while soothing, he does remind us of the dire state of the world to make sure we start putting nature first.
