Scooby-Doo! The Sword and the Scoob DVD review: What to expect
Scooby-Doo! The Sword and the Scoob is now on DVD. What can you expect from the release, and why is it perfect for the whole family?
When it comes to family-friendly movies, there is one creative team you can always rely on. The masterminds behind Scooby-Doo are back with a movie that is sure to appeal to everyone who loves King Arthur, the Knights of the Round Table, and Camelot.
Scooby-Doo! The Sword and the Scoob takes place centuries in the past. I’ll let you find out how Mystery Inc. get to the time period of King Arthur, but it is entertaining. There are some excellent moments throughout the movie, mixing past and present. You can still take a look at the clip from the movie which features someone from the Scooby Gang pulling Excalibur from its stone.
It brings all the humor that we’ve come to know and love from the Scooby Gang. We also get to explore one of the characters further, as Shaggy’s family roots are traced by to England. You will certainly find yourself questioning how, but the clip may offer a little hint.
This is one of those movies that will have the entire family laughing. While parents will continue to piece bits of the Scooby Gang’s story together from previous movies—yeah, there’s a little inconsistency here and there, but we don’t mind—children will just enjoy the fun and games (and the mystery) that the Gang gets up to.
What to expect on Scooby-Doo! The Sword and the Scoob DVD
The movie sees Mystery Inc. head to the past, where they find themselves in King Arthur’s court. While there, they’ll need to battle an evil sorceress who wants Camelot for herself, and the Scooby Gang will need to do whatever it takes to help King Arthur.
Of course, the Scooby Gang could end up doing more harm than good. That’s especially with one of them pulling Excalibur from the stone!
As well as the movie, you’ll get three bonus cartoons on the DVD set. There’s definitely plenty of entertainment for a weekend.
