The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 4 is one of the shows delayed by the pandemic. When can we expect the fourth season to be on Amazon Prime Video?

The third season left us with some major questions. Midge had just risen to the top, but outing Shy Baldwin without even meaning to led to her being kicked off his tour. Now she’s back down at the bottom, and she’s not even learned that Susie has taken on Sophie Lennon as a client.

We’ve had to wait for the fourth season, though. Filming was due to start in June 2020, but the pandemic had made filming unsafe. So, production was pushed back, but it has officially started back up again, according to Entertainment Tonight.

That means we can start looking ahead. Here’s what we know about The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 4 so far.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 4 release date

We don’t have a premiere date just yet. With filming just starting up, it’s likely that the season will arrive sometime in 2021. We’re probably looking at the fall of 2021 at the earliest considering how long it can take to film all episodes of this epic period dramedy, especially with the extra COVID protocols.

Will all episodes drop at once? Amazon has started releasing some shows weekly, but this has been at the request of the creative teams. TV shows remain in the public eye for longer when released weekly, giving them a bigger chance of success and survival.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel could go that route if the creators want to, but there probably isn’t a need to. The social media accounts are active enough to keep this show in the public eye.

Of course, Rachel Brosnahan and Alex Borstein will return as Midge and Susie (Smidge, as Borstein has affectionately named them). There is no series without the two of them.

There is a good chance that Jane Lynch will return as Sophie Lennon at some point. After all, Season 3 ended with Susie reluctantly agreeing to become Sophie’s manager.

We may see LeRoy McClain and Sterling K. Brown return as Shy Baldwin and Reggie respectively. However, their storylines may have come to an end. Is there really any need for them since Midge has been kicked off the tour?

Then there is Joel, who has a nightclub with an illegal Chinese casino operating underneath. He’s started dating Mei Lin, but how will that go now that Joel and Midge are married again?
