4 movies heading to Digital this week: Wild Mountain Thyme and more

There are four movies heading to Digital this week, including Wild Mountain Thyme. Get the Digital releases on Amazon Video.

Things remain on the quiet side when it comes to the Digital releases right now. Studios are still adapting their plans to suit the pandemic. Yet, that doesn’t mean things are completely silent.

Three of this week’s Digital releases happen on Tuesday, Feb. 2. They’re movies previously released in theaters or to rent on VOD. The last of the releases comes on Friday, Jan. 5. It’s heading to rent on VOD, as well as coming to theaters.

Let’s delve into the releases happening this week.

Digital releases on Tuesday, Feb. 2

Wild Mountain Thyme is the biggest release of the week from the movies already in theaters. Jamie Dornan stars as a farmer who is upset that his dad is selling the family farm to a nephew out in the States. This farm has been in the family for generations and he expected to take it on.

Meanwhile, his neighbor, played by Emily Blunt, has fallen in love with him. He may not notice her right away, but what happens later in the movie?

2 Heats is also coming to Digital this week. The movie takes place in two time periods with love stories that are connected. The first story is one of a passenger on an airplane who flirts with a flight attendant. It leads to love until a lung disease threatens the man’s life.

In the second story, two college students meet and fall in love. Again, a life-threatening condition affects their happiness. How do the two stories connect?

JL Family Ranch: The Wedding Gift stars Jon Voight, Teri Polo, James Caan, Bo Derek, Dylan Walsh, and Trevor Donovan. Rebecca is on top of the world when Henry proposes to her and it looks like the fairy tale will come true. However, Rebecca’s daughter invites someone from the past to the ranch, which leads to a few questions and secrets coming out.

To rent on VOD on Feb. 5

On Friday, The Reckoning is coming to theaters and to rent on VOD. Charlotte Kirk stars in this horror movie as a young woman who is left to struggle on her own after her husband kills himself when he comes down with a deadly virus.

She falls behind on rent, her landlord wants sexual favors in return to stay in the home, and then her landlord claims she’s a witch. Her life is completely turned upside down, but can she make it through the other side?
