5 most anticipated Amazon shows coming in 2021 (and possibly beyond)

2. Invincible

Adult animation is a popular genre. Whether you still love The Simpsons or you’re looking at something new like Undone, there is something for all preferences and styles. And Amazon Prime Video has one coming up in 2021.

Invincible is the one to look out for. There is already a teaser out to give us a hint of what to expect during the series, and we know it’s based on the comic book character of the same name to help offer more insight into what the show will be about.

It focuses on a teenager who learns he has powers just before his 17th birthday. Now he needs to learn how to control them. He doesn’t need to keep them from his family, though. His dad has similar powers and will be there to guide him.

The Walking Dead‘s Steven Yeun will voice the lead character, and it is set to arrive sometime in 2021.

1. The Wheel of Time

The most anticipated of all Amazon shows is The Wheel of Time. Like The Lord of the Rings, it’s probably one of the most anticipated TV shows overall. It’s been at the top of the list for many since hearing the epic fantasy book series was getting an adaptation.

The first season is based on the first book in the series, The Eye of the World. It follows Aes Sedai, an all-female magic organization, member Moiraine Damodred who wants to find the Dragon Reborn. This is the figure prophesized to either save or doom humanity. Nobody knows which one it will actually be.

This is Amazon’s chance to bring another show on the level of Game of Thrones. There’s already an excellent cast attached, and the writers are currently working on Season 2 despite a renewal not officially confirmed just yet. It brings a lot of hope for the future.

While not confirmed for 2021 just yet, we do hope to see The Wheel of Time this year.
