Bridgerton is one of the most talked-about TV shows of 2020. Despite only coming out on Christmas Day, it gained a lot of attention in the lead-up.

Now you want to know where you can watch it. While it is on Netflix, is it possible to watch Bridgerton on Amazon Prime Video?

Sadly, the answer is no. You can only watch it with a Netflix subscription at the moment.

There’s no need for Netflix to share its original programming with another streaming service. Netflix is the biggest streamer of them all. However, I do say never say never. If something happens, Amazon and Netflix could be forced to join together and share content.

But as things look right now, Bridgerton will not be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.

Will Bridgerton come to DVD and Blu-ray?

Some Netflix Originals do eventually come to DVD and Blu-ray. We’ve seen it with British productions like The Last Kingdom and The Crown. We’ve also seen it with U.S. productions like Fuller House and The Kominksy Method.

Will this new series head to DVD and Blu-ray in the future?

It’s the production companies that tend to get a say in this. Some, like Warner Bros., want to see their content head to physical disc. That’s where they can make a lot of extra revenue.

Bridgerton comes from Shondaland—yes, Shonda Rhimes’s company. She has an exclusive deal with Netflix, so it’s unlikely that the series will come to DVD in the future. We’ll keep a look out for any details, though. There are no Netflix-only Shondaland productions to work with to predict this.
