Say goodbye to 2020 in style with Yearly Departed on Amazon Prime Video

We all had big hopes and dreams for 2020. Nothing worked out as expected, and now it’s time to say goodbye to the worst year of our lives in style with Yearly Departed.

The comedy special is streaming on Amazon Prime Video tonight. As it’s a global original, it will drop at midnight GMT on Wednesday, Dec. 30. That’s awesome news for those in North America. You can start streaming from 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT on Tuesday, Dec. 29.

Sometimes, it takes a little longer for a release to be available. It will be on by midnight in your local timezone, but from experience, it’s usually much earlier than that.

And this is one of those comedy specials you’ll want to watch. Say goodbye to 2020 in style.

What is Yearly Departed about?

The Amazon Original special sees Rachel Brosnahan, Tiffany Haddish, Patti Harrison, Natasha Leggero, Natasha Rothwell, Sarah Silverman, and Ziwe take to the stage to give their eulogies to the year that we wish never was. Phoebe Robinson hosts the special that is sure to include look backs at the coronavirus pandemic, President Donald Trump, Black Lives Matter, and so much more.

In some cases, they’re a more positive look at what could happen when people came together. However, it’s more of a funeral for the year that we felt would never end.

Look out for jokes about casual sex, beige Band-Aids, and things that were “lost” in 2020. Murder hornets (what did happen to that storyline?), plagues, banana bread (maybe it should be sourdough!) are all topics that you’ll remember from the year that our wonderful female comedians will cover.

2020 may have been [insert whatever you want to call it here], but Amazon is going to help us say goodbye in the year we all want to…slamming the door on its behind.
