Could Wonder Woman 1984 ever come to Amazon Prime Video?

After a long wait and the fear of waiting until 2021, Wonder Woman 1984 is now out in theaters and via streaming. It’s not on Amazon Prime Video, but does that mean it will never come to Prime?

Wonder Woman 1984 is currently available to stream on HBO Max. However, that’s only going to be until the end of January 2021. After that, it will be removed from the streaming service and only available in theaters.

Or will it go to another streaming service?

Probably not. The limited streaming window is likely to counter the issues of not all theaters being open right now. It’s something Warner Bros. is testing out throughout 2021 as the pandemic continues to cause a problem around the world. It’ll likely remain off streaming until it comes to the time it would usually be available.

Will Wonder Woman 1984 head back to HBO?

Warner Bros. movies tend to go to HBO after the theatrical release. They usually follow a six to eight-month window to become available with your streaming subscription.

The good news is Amazon Prime fans can currently get HBO via Amazon Channels. HBO Max is also now available to download onto Fire TV devices.

But what about after that? Will the movie head to Amazon Prime Video? It is certainly possible. Warner Bros. doesn’t just keep its movies on its own streaming service. We’ve watched many head to other streaming platforms, such as Harry Potter heading to Peacock.

This is one of those cases of never say never. However, it might take a few years until Wonder Woman 1984 is on Amazon Prime Video. You’ll want to watch it on HBO Max right away.
