Will News of the World come to Amazon Prime Video?
Where will News of the World stream in the future?
There aren’t many movies out in theaters right now, but News of the World is one of them. It’s only out in theaters at the moment, but not everyone wants to or can go to theaters right now.
So, you want to know when and where it will stream in the future. Will News of the World come to Amazon Prime Video?
There is a little bit of bad news. As a Universal Pictures movie, it’s unlikely to come to Amazon right away. It’s more likely to head to HBO and HBO Max in about six to eight months’ time.
That doesn’t mean it will never come to Amazon, though. Movies eventually leave the initial streaming services and go elsewhere. We’ll be sure to let you know if this happens with the Tom Hanks movie.
For those with Amazon Prime, you can currently get HBO as one of the Amazon Channels add-ons. However, this may change in 2021, and it’s something we’re keeping a close eye on.
It’s on Netflix internationally.
What is News of the World about?
Hanks stars as Capt. Jefferson Kyle Kidd, a Civil War veteran who agrees to take a 10-year-old girl back to her aunt and uncle. This young girl was taken by the Kiowa people, and she wants to stay with them. She was taken as an infant and the Kiowa people are all she’s ever known. However, she doesn’t get a choice in the matter.
The two cross the harsh plains of Texas. Along the way, they run into danger, both in the forms of human and nature. It’s a fight for survival, but will Kidd also realize that he should return the girl back to the home of her choosing?
News of the World is based on the book of the same name by Paulette Jiles. It’s certainly worth a read.
News of the World is currently out in theaters.
