3 movies come to DVD and Blu-ray this week, including Honest Thief

It’s a quiet week when it comes to DVD and Blu-ray releases. However, there are three movies that you may want to check out.

The good news is January 2021 is already looking much better for DVD and Blu-ray releases. As more studios decide to send their movies to theaters (or even work with the odd pandemic-method of releases they’re choosing), there will be more DVD releases happening each week.

But for now, let’s look at the three DVD releases happening this week. All three are on Tuesday, Dec. 29.

What’s coming to DVD and Blu-ray this week?

Liam Neeson leads the charge with the movie Honest Thief. It came to Digital earlier this month and follows Tom Carter, who has made a career out of stealing. He even stole $9m from 12 small-town banks across seven states without anyone knowing it was him.

So, what changes? He meets Annie, an honest woman who he wants to settle down with. That means turning himself in and hoping for a deal. But when someone frames him for murder, he has to do a lot more if he wants a life of freedom.

The Last Shift is the next release, starring Richard Jenkins and Shane Paul McGhie. Stanley has been a fast-food worker for 38 years, but it’s time to pass the torch to a younger co-worker. He gives all the advice he can before he punches the clock that one last time.

Finally, there’s Triggered starring Liesl Ahlers and Reine Swart. The movie came out on Digital back in November but is only just coming to DVD. It doesn’t have a Blu-ray release yet.

The movie follows a group of nine friends celebrating their five-year reunion in the woods. It’s supposed to be a fun event, but things take a dangerous turn and each friend realizes they’re on their own and potentially a victim to one of their friends. Who has what it takes to survive?
