The Princess Switch: Switched Again is now available on Netflix. It’s the sequel to the first Vanessa Hudgens movie that saw her take on two roles. This time, she’s taking on three.

The big question for you is whether you’ll be able to add it to your DVD and Blu-ray collection. Wil you be able to get The Princess Switch: Switched Again on DVD and Blu-ray?

While it is a Netflix Original, this doesn’t necessarily mean it will never come to DVD. We need to consider the production studio. Since this is a sequel, we can also look at the first movie. Did The Princess Switch come to DVD and Blu-ray?

The Princess Switch: Switched Again probably won’t come to DVD and Blu-ray

There is some bad news when it comes to The Princess Switch on DVD and Blu-ray. The first movie hasn’t been released, and there don’t seem to be any plans to release it.

It usually takes about a year for a movie to go from Netflix to DVD. Or the release can happen around the time of the release of a sequel. There are no signs of that happening with the first movie.

If the first one isn’t available, it’s unlikely the second one will. It would be odd to only have the second movie on DVD and then have to watch the first one on Netflix.

Will The Princess Switch 2 come to Amazon Prime Video?

What about being able to stream the movie on Prime? That’s another negative.

This is a Netflix Original Movie. There’s no need to release it on another streaming service. With so many streamers out there now, Netflix will want to keep its Originals exclusive to the service. Amazon is doing the same with its own Originals.

It also won’t likely be on Amazon Video to buy or rent. Again, it’s all about exclusivity.
