Lovecraft Country Season 1 is coming to DVD and Blu-ray with bonus features

Want to add Lovecraft Country Season 1 to your DVD collection? Of course you do! It’s one of the best things to air on HBO ever.

Warner Bros., the production studio that brought the series, has set the release date for the DVD and Blu-ray. You’ll want to wait until Feb. 16, 2021, but it is going to be worth that wait. It marks six months from the premiere date of the series, which is about standard for HBO shows.

If you need to rewatch the episodes in the meantime, you can still watch via HBO on Amazon Channels. You can also buy the episodes on Digital if you want to keep hold of them for a one-off payment.

What’s coming to Lovecraft Country Season 1 on DVD?

All 10 episodes of Lovecraft Country Season 1 will be on both the DVD and the Blu-ray collection. That’s standard. There’s no point in releasing the DVD and Blu-ray without all episodes, right?

There is some bonus content coming to both versions, too.

You can explore the world of Lovecraft Country and the work it took to crafting it. There are also two all-new bonus features that have never been released on the official HBO social media channels.

Compendium of Horrors and Orithyia Blue and the Imagination of Diana Freeman are the two new additions. There are no details on what these featurettes are about, but I’m sure we can take a few guesses.

Lovecraft Country: The Complete First Season

Something worth pointing out is that the DVD boxset states that it’s “The Complete First Season.” This suggests that the series isn’t over just yet. If it was, it would say “The Complete Series” or something similar.

HBO still hasn’t renewed or canceled the show. We’re holding out hope for a second season to happen. It certainly needs to!
