2. How will everyone react when they hear about the destruction of the vaccine?

The public has eagerly waited for the release of the vaccine. They called for it despite it not being tested fully. However, the ending to Utopia Season 1 left all vials broken and destroyed. The incubating eggs exploded. There is no vaccine anymore.

How will the public react? There will likely be riots, but will they be against the right people. After all, it’s got to come out that the vaccine wasn’t actually a vaccine, right? That the flu wasn’t the Stearnes flu after all.

There is a chance the public will learn the truth thanks to Stearnes. However, don’t expect everyone to believe the truth.

1. What is Arby’s next move?

Finally, let’s touch on Arby. He received a lot of development throughout the first season, and I hope we see more of it on Utopia Season 2.

He was created to destroy, but he wasn’t happy about that. In the end, he led Jessica back “Home.” This is back in the hands of Milner, but I don’t think he meant it maliciously. He realized Jessica was infected and sick, and she needs Milner’s help. We saw the symptoms of the “Stearnes flu” appear on her forehead as they drove to the compound.

His final words were “stay alive, Jessica Hyde,” suggesting that he knows there’s something dangerous lurking for her. Will he help get her out in the end? Will he help get Grant free? We can’t trust him, but don’t rule him out, either.
