The Great Season 1 is just one of the 13 DVD releases happening this week

Are you ready to add to your DVD and Blu-ray collection? There are 13 DVD releases happening this week, Oct. 20.

The week sees an excellent mixture of TV shows and movies. Whether you want horror, comedy, or something in between, there’s an option for you. We’ll take a look at some of the notable additions before sharing the full list.

The Great, NOS4A2, and more

Hulu’s The Great Season 1 is one of the top DVD releases of the week. The series is an Amazon Original internationally, and it tells the story of a young Catherine the Great. It’s before she decides to kill her husband, realizing the type of man he really is. Don’t expect historical accuracy, but do expect a lot of laughs.

NOS4A2 Season 2 is another excellent release. The second season picks up eight years after the first season finale. Vic McQueen is shocked to hear the news about Charlie Manx. It’s sadly also the final season of the AMC series.

If you’re looking for movies, there are a few options. The Owners is one for those who love home invasion type movies. Maisie Williams plays one of the teens who breaks into a house owned by an elderly couple. They don’t think too much of the couple until they return home and prove they’re not as week as they look.

The Secrets We Keep is a movie for those looking for drama. During World War II, a woman was brutally tortured and raped by Nazi soldiers. Now she’s trying to rebuild her life in America, but her quiet neighborhood may have one of the Nazi soldiers who had once attacked her. Old wounds can never heal, but is her memory correct, or has she misidentified an innocent man?
