4. Bad Education

Hugh Jackman and Allison Janney star in this HBO series that quickly captured the attention of viewers. Now you can own it on DVD and Blu-ray.

The limited series follows Frank Tassone, a superintendent at the Roslyn School District. He is able to inspire students, manage parents’ fears, and work with the community leaders to gain an excellent reputation. However, Rachel Bhargava, a student journalist, threatens it all when she investigates rumors of monetary gaffes.

Frank has to answer for all his indiscretions. His untarnished record soon becomes the most publically tarnished of all.

Bad Education is available from Sept. 8.

3. Stargirl Season 1

Here’s one for the entire family to enjoy. Stargirl has been The CW’s hottest new series, bringing a set of characters for a new generation. In the first season, we meet Courtney Whitmore who finds that Starman’s staff responds to her. She becomes Stargirl and starts a new generation of the Justice Society of America.

Sadly, her town is being overrun by supervillains. Can the new JSA take down the well-oiled Injustice Society of America? What will Courtney’s mom think when she finds out about Courtney’s extracurricular activities?

Stargirl Season 1 is on DVD and Blu-ray from Sept. 29.
