Penny Dreadful: City of Angels is one of the DVD and Blu-ray releases next month

You’re likely getting ready for a new month of content. There isn’t as much on broadcast when it comes to scripted shows as there normally would be, so you’ll want to turn to DVD and Blu-ray releases for now.

The good news is September 2020 is packed with great DVD and Blu-ray releases. It’s time to narrow down the list to the top 10.

There are 40 new releases planned for the month at the time of writing this. Of course, that doesn’t mean there won’t be other DVD and Blu-ray releases that happen throughout the month. There are often times that new additions are added at a later date.

Fair warning: the list is mostly all about the TV shows coming to DVD and Blu-ray. There is one movie on the list. It’s all about the shows that traditionally return in the fall.

Things are working a little differently this year. You won’t need to get the DVDs and quickly binge-watch everything to catch up in time for the new seasons to air. You’ll be able to enjoy the episodes and any bonus features that are on the boxset.
