Finally, we have one of the best shows like Hanna when you want well-written. The Americans keeps you on the edge of your seats from start to finish.

Set during the Cold War, two Russian spies posing as a married couple with children in Washington DC. Their task is to spy on the American government for the Russians.

The show doesn’t just offer a look at the dangers of spy work. Nor is it just about the couple carrying out their missions. There are lots happening around them, including their own children starting to turn against them. What happens when one of them finds out her parents are spies for the enemy?

There are also the storylines that involve other Russian and American spies. Something is always happening around our lead characters because, quite frankly, that’s the way things worked during the Cold War. There are always multiple operations underway.

The Americans came to an end after six seasons. All seasons are available to stream on Amazon Prime Video. The good news is the show knew it was coming to an end so the writers were able to craft a good ending to wrap up the storylines. They just may not have wrapped up how we’d hoped as fans of the couple.
