If you only have time for shows like Hanna with only one season, you’ll need to The Widow. The Amazon Original series stars Kate Beckinsale as a widowed woman who is just trying to get on with her life. Things change when she realizes her husband may not be dead after all.

The series starts with Georgia Wells believing that her husband died in a plane crash three years ago. She’s moved away from civilization since then, opting for a life in the Welsh countryside. When she sees a news report that has someone looking like her husband in the background, she starts to question everything.

Now Georgia needs to prove that her husband is, in fact, alive. The only way she can do that is to fly to Congo where the plane crash happened. There, she reunites with Judith, her husband’s former business partner, and a local journalist who had a loved one also die in that plane crash.

Can she find her husband? What dangers will she face while out there? What exactly will happen if her husband turns out to be alive after all these years?

This is certainly a thrilling ride. It’s also exciting to see Beckinsale in her first TV role.
