It’s time to grab the popcorn and get comfy on the couch. There are some excellent Amazon movies to check out this weekend.

There isn’t anything new on Amazon Prime Video this weekend, but don’t let that put you off from the streaming site. There were some excellent arrivals throughout the week.

We can also turn to Amazon Channels. There are two movies from there you’ll need to watch this weekend.

Here are the five good Amazon movies you need to watch this weekend.

Dora and the Lost City of Gold

We’ll start with the family movie for the weekend. Grab your kids with that popcorn and get ready for some fun. Dora and the Lost City of Gold is the perfect Dora the Explorer live-action movie. It’s an over-the-top and somewhat predictable adventure for the adults, but it’s full of comedy and enjoyable action for the kids.

Oh, and if you’ve wondered who Dora is speaking to when she asks the kids if they can say words in Spanish, there’s a moment that will have you rolling with laughter.

Dora and the Lost City of Gold is already available on Amazon Prime Video.
