4. Cursed Films

There are many stories about movie sets that are cursed. Accidents have happened during and after filming that make many people wonder what’s really going on. Whether it’s the plane accidents during The Omen or the real human skeletons found on Poltergeist’s set, some movie sets just have to be cursed.

That’s something Cursed Films looks into through a five-part documentary. It goes into the stories, includes some interviews with filmmakers and fans, and it tries to get to the bottom of the tales.

You can watch Cursed Films on DVD on Aug. 18.

3. Batwoman Season 1

One of the most highly anticipated DC DVD and Blu-ray releases this month is likely Batwoman Season 1. It’s the first openly lesbian lead female for the DC, which certainly brought in plenty of support and attention. Plus, we had a villain that was downright crazy with a tragic backstory that we needed to know more about.

You’ll be able to own the full season on DVD in August. On top of that, the Blu-ray includes the episodes of the five-part crossover with the other Arrowverse shows. It’s the one and only season with Ruby Rose in the lead, setting up the tale of Gotham but leaving plenty open for a new actress to take on the lead role.

Batwoman Season 1 is coming to DVD and Blu-ray on Aug. 18.
