8. Military Wives

Now it’s time for one of the movie DVD and Blu-ray releases. Military Wives is one that you need to get right away. It’s not the same as the TV series Army Wives, but focuses on the wives of servicemen who decide to start a choir together—and yes, this is a real thing.

We follow Kate Barclay, a British soldier’s wife who joins with other wives to help ease the anxiety of their men at war. They form a choice, but it’s not all about the singing. Lisa joins as the chair of the Social Committee and immediately butts heads with Kate.

Military Wives is on DVD and Blu-ray on Aug. 18.

7. Are You Afraid of the Dark?

Here’s one for the kids. It’s also one for fans of the original series who want to see the reboot. Are You Afraid of the Dark is one of the DVD and Blu-ray releases during August 2020. This isn’t quite the same as the original, where the teens would gather to tell scary stories. Instead, the stories are brought to life.

It all starts with a young girl being bothered by nightmares. When she starts talking to someone about it, she gets to know the Midnight Society, who bring her in to help her. However, the nightmares soon start to happen around the town, much to the surprise of everyone else.

It sadly is a miniseries. We’ve love to see a reboot of the original series, though!

Check out the new Are You Afraid of the Dark? on DVD and Blu-ray on Aug. 11.
