Now streaming: Absentia Season 3 is now available on Amazon Prime Video
You can watch all 10 episodes of Absentia Season 3 right now
Every month, there’s at least one highly anticipated release on Amazon Prime Video. July 2020 had two, and Absentia Season 3 is one of them. You can now stream all 10 episodes.
The downside to this release is that it isn’t global. Only select countries and territories are getting the release right now, with the show airing on other networks elsewhere. The good news is the United States is that it’s one of the countries getting the full season.
It’s been a while since the second season, but certainly not too long. And you’ve likely watched the first two seasons to remind yourself of storylines, character development, and where we left our favorite characters.
Well, Stana Katic is back as Emily Byrne, and she’s ready for more action.
What to expect on Absentia Season 3
Let’s just start with the fact that this is a dark show. If you’ve somehow missed this series and you’re now going to spend the weekend binge-watching from the start, get ready for it to go deep into storylines. It’s one of the great things about it, as it shows life as it is and doesn’t shy away from what trauma does, but it isn’t for those with a weaker stomach.
For those who are all caught up and ready for Absentia Season 3, what can you expect? It all picks up off the back of the second season. Well, sort of. We pick up 18 months after with Emily coming to the end of her suspension with the FBI. There’s nothing dramatic during this time.
Of course, it’s as Emily is ready to return that the proverbial hits the fan. We’re looking at an international criminal organization causing problems, and somehow, it’s getting personal for Emily. She’ll need to work with her ex-husband to protect themselves and their son.
This is a season that will see Emily learn to trust again. It’s not going to be easy. We’ve already seen some of the difficulties. I’m especially looking forward to this growth coming up.
