Hanna Season 2 premiere recap: Introducing The Meadows
The next stage of conditioning in The Meadows
After getting the girls out of the Utrax facilities, we learn that they’ve been moved from facility to facility. “Sandy,” Clara’s neighbor at the previous facility, wants to understand why this is, but it’s quickly overshadowed by the arrival at The Meadows. This is the last stop.
It’s a conditioning place. The girls get their new identities, new clothes, and new lives. It’s time to prepare them for the real world, where they will become sleeper agents. The plan is to have them kill state officials because nobody will suspect freshman girls.
However, Sandy is clearly starting to second guess a few things. Sandy is later asked for the events at the former facility. She’s nervous, sharing everything she saw. But it’s clear she fears she’ll get in trouble. Is she also starting to second guess a few things?
There’s also a new agent joining the facility, Terri Miller. It’s clear that she’s not expecting everything she learns and she’s not entirely happy about no communication with the outside world. Which side is she really on?
Terri is there to send social media messages and keep making it look like there’s a paper trail for the girls. It also helps the girls to get to know social interaction so they can fit in when they enter the real world.
Sandy is clearly starting to believe everything is real. Another girl in the facility, Jules, is not allowing herself to believe anything.
As a side note, we also meet Leo Garner. He is helping to train the girls, but how much does he really know about Utrax?
