8. Abe Weissman from The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel
Right now, I’d love for a teacher to be quarantined with me. I’m not cut out to teach math and science. English, fine, but all the other subjects…well, there’s a reason I never went into teaching when I briefly considered it. And there’s a reason I would never have considered teaching primary school-aged children.
Okay, so Abe doesn’t teach children, but he s smart. And maybe, just maybe, he’ll have some patience for a seven-year-old who is desperate to learn and listens carefully to instructions.
If not, well, I’ve got a person to debate with. There’s someone for me to have a smart discussion with!
7. Loretta from Tales from the Loop
If Abe Weissman can’t help, then maybe Loretta is one of the Amazon Original characters that I need in the house. She’s a very smart woman, who is now in charge of The Loop—well, up until the very last moments of Tales from the Loop Season 1’s finale.
Loretta would help to inspire my daughters. She’d encourage them to be the best they can, and I’m sure she’d love to teach a seven-year-old who is interested in learning more. Maybe she wouldn’t be very good at the French homework my daughter has to do, but math and science would at least be covered.
