4. What is the Cal Tech student doing?

Lewis followed a Cal Tech student to the university. It’s clear that there’s something big going on. This is a guy meeting with Nazis and he’s going to a lab where there are explosives.

What exactly is this student up to? He didn’t look all that happy in the lab, but is that because he’s doing something he doesn’t really want to do or because his work isn’t going the way he planned?

This storyline is going to need a couple of episodes to breathe. However, it’s clear there’s something major linked to the Nazis, Magda, and much more.

3. What will Lewis believe when he finds out his friends are dead?

While we think of Lewis tailing the Cal Tech guy, we also need to mention the two friends of Lewis’s who tailed the Gestapo. What a mistake that was! They were terrible tails and ended up getting caught. Unsurprisingly, the Gestapo driver shot and killed both men and then pushed the car down the hill.

There is a chance the car may never be found. However, that wouldn’t make for a great drama series, right? Instead, it will likely be found on Penny Dreadful: City of Angels, and Lewis will likely hear about it. Immediately, he’ll feel some guilt for sending his friends off to tail dangerous people, but this will also continue his hatred against the Nazis in L.A.
