2. Watchmen

Ready for a world where superheroes are known about? You want to check out Watchmen. However, while superheroes are known about, they’re not walking around freely. On top of that, the police don’t even walk around freely.

After an attack on officers, the police have to hide behind masks. Their real identities are kept a secret. In a way, there are a lot of connections to most superhero worlds—the police are the heroes.

Throughout Watchmen, we witness a world where the white supremacists are causing problems. They want to take over the world, and Dr. Manhatten may be the way to do that. Who is Dr. Manhatten? A blue guy who sees everywhere.

Within all this is a story of family and protection. One woman, Angela Abar, will do everything she can to make sure her family is safe. However, it means finding out more about her own past and her familial connections.

Don’t worry if you haven’t seen the movie or read the graphic novels before it. Watchmen is a miniseries that makes sense on its own, but there’s also a lot of foreshadowing to pay attention to.

Watchmen is available on HBO, which you can watch with Amazon Channels.
