2. It didn’t follow traditional methods of storytelling

You don’t need to watch all episodes in order. There may be some storylines that you feel more connected to than others.

Tales from the Loop didn’t bother with the traditional storytelling. It didn’t spend episodes explaining the sci-fi elements. We didn’t explore what The Loop was or how it was causing the science fiction events. Everyone just accepted the ability to stop time or travel to other dimensions to keep the story flowing.

It was exciting to see this happen. Getting bogged down into the “how” can often end up frustrating. After all, that’s not necessarily why we’re there. And not explaining The Loop didn’t distract from the emotional storylines.

1. I have a lot of questions

I admit that I certainly do have a lot of questions after Tales from the Loop Season 1. I need answers to them.

What is Gaddis doing now? What has May done with the time-stopping device? Has Cole explained his parents and brother to his new family? Did George ever go back to the island? Who runs The Loop now?

Now depending on the storylines for any planned second season, we may never get the answers. That doesn’t mean we won’t get a hint of them or see the characters again. We may at least get some answers about the characters’ journeys after their episodes.
