6. Modern Love
Amazon hasn’t had much luck with anthology shows. Then Modern Love was one of the Amazon Originals to make its way to us in 2019. Based on a New York Times column, it was hard to tell if this would be worth the watch, but the first episode immediately made it clear that it was.
You can watch the episodes out of order, as each one is an individual story. Amazon quickly renewed the series to break the anthology curse, and it was a good decision. Now we can’t wait for more, hopefully, sometime this year.

5. Made in Heaven
The second Indian original on the list is Made in Heaven. This ticks all the boxes of a well-made series, delivering on the promise to give us the Indian wedding stereotypes while proving that not all Indian women are the perfect brides they’re made out to be. Not everyone wants everything that is expected of them.
Made in Heaven gave us real characters. I felt like we got to know Tara deeply. I’d love to know a little more about Karan. The good news is there will be a second season, and I just can’t wait to see it.
