You’ve heard all the positives about The Witcher on Netflix. Will it ever be possible to own the series on Digital? Can you get The Witcher on Amazon Video?

You’ve heard all the great things about The Witcher on Netflix. You may have even seen the series to witness everything good. And now you want to be able to watch it without always having a Netflix subscription. That means looking for a way to buy it, which could be through Amazon Video.

So, will The Witcher be available on Amazon Video? I know you’re likely thinking “not a chance,” but hold your horses for a second. It is possible that the series could be released on Digital, despite being a Netflix Original.

We just have to look at the likes of Fuller House to see that some shows are released on Digital through Amazon Video. However, not all are. For example, The Crown is available to buy on DVD and Blu-ray but not through Amazon Video. It all depends on the production companies.

Fuller House is produced by Warner Bros. It was always going to be available on both Digital and DVD. Warner Bros. knows that this is where the money is, so despite being a Netflix Original, the series would be released for purchase. The same applies to any other Netflix Original that has been produced by Warner Bros.

That’s not the case for The Witcher, sadly. That means it probably won’t be possible to own the series through Amazon Video. However, there is still a chance that the series will be available on DVD and Blu-ray in the future.

It makes sense that Netflix wants to keep as much of its content exclusive to the service as possible. That’s especially the case now that there are so many subscription services.
