8. Will Joel and Mai work out?

It was clear that Mai would end up being an important part in Joel’s bar succeeding. Being in China Town, he needed someone who spoke the language and had Klout in the area. So, it made sense that it would be Mai.

She and Joel have certainly hit things off. They both want to be with each other, but they both come from very different backgrounds. It’s clear that she has some questionable connections, while Joel has baggage of his own. Then there’s the two cultures coming together. Can they overcome all the obstacles in their way?

At least they seem to have Midge’s blessing. She just wants Joel to be happy, and now she’s met Mai, she’s had a chance to see what a great woman she is. Well, we think she is.

7. Has Susie destroyed her managing career?

Poor Susie. Just as her career was on the up, Sophie Lennon helped to crash it all down. Sophie destroyed her performance on Broadway, opting for the life she’s always known.

The problem with Sophie’s performance is that it reflects badly on Susie. And people in this industry talk. Sophie can easily pass around bad information about being forced to perform, and there were plenty of nervous phone calls to back that up. So, does this mean Susie’s career is in danger?

And it’s not just about Sophie’s actions. Susie has a gambling addiction. Is that something that will come up again in Season 4? Will that destroy everything she’s built?
