Camping is a British dramedy. When Walt goes on a trip with his wife Kathryn for his 45th birthday, it’s anything but the delightful trip back to nature that it was sold as. It doesn’t help that Kathryn is aggressively controlling and obsessively organized that it takes out the fun of most events.

And it’s not just Kathryn that causes this. Kathryn’s sister, ex-best friend, and a free-spirited tagalong are also joining them. This turns into a camping trip from hell, as marriages are tested and female friendships are sent to the edge. Oh, and there are some bears out there.

Walt might want to choose a solo holiday far away from his family for the next big birthday, don’t ya think? You might do when you get through the eight episodes to the HBO series this Thanksgiving.
