6. The Blind Side

When it turns 10: Nov. 17

Who it’s for: This is one of those movies for those who love character-driven storylines. It’s also for football fans, especially those who love the history of football and storylines based on true stories within the NFL.

Why it does/doesn’t stand the test of time: It’s been a long time since I’ve watched The Blind Side but it is a movie for everyone to check out. This does stand up against the test of time, aging well with its beautiful storyline. It offers messages of hope, of family, and of love.

If you keep putting this movie off, make a night of it. Whether you love football or not, you’ll find something to adore about The Blind Side.

5. Up

When it turned 10: May 29

Who it’s for: This is one of those movies for the whole family. Everyone will get something different out of it by the end.

Why it does/doesn’t stand the test of time: Personally, Up isn’t one of my all-time favorite movies. However, it is one of those that stands the test of time. There’s a sweet message, some excellent graphics, and a beautiful story to boot.

I honestly can’t believe it’s turning 10, though. I remember watching it as soon as it came out on DVD and Blu-ray, and it doesn’t feel like 10 years ago.
