2. Remember the Daze (2007)

I mentioned there would be a lot of coming-of-age movies on this list, didn’t I? Sorry if they’re not your thing but these last two are some of my all-time favorite summer movies! The premise is pretty simple. It’s the last day of high school, a group of teenagers gets up to some crazy hijinks to celebrate their first day of freedom.

Remember the Daze takes place across a wild 24 hours and it features surprisingly familiar faces like Amber Heard, Brie Larson, Leighton Meester, and Lyndsy Fonseca.

1. Sleepover (2003)

Brie Larson made the rounds on all the early 2000s teen comedies. She also starred in this flick as one of the “mean girls.” Sleepover actually has a similar plot to Remember the Daze except it skews towards a younger and more family-friendly audience.

This movie centers around a sleepover on the last day of middle school for a group of girls excited to begin the next chapter of their lives in high school. Also like Remember the Daze, Sleepover sports a few actors you’ll recognize such as Jane Lynch, Alexa Vega, Evan Peters, Sean Faris, and even Steve Carell.
